J7 uses fixed fees only for genuinely standardised work, approved indicative bands where the variables can be described honestly, and professional scoping for complex or multi-site instructions.

A simple standard service should be easy to price. Variable or complex work should not be made to look fixed merely to create an instant checkout.
Route A
Defined standard service
A fixed fee is used only where the service, eligibility, inputs and deliverable are genuinely standardised. The formal quotation confirms that the premises meets the route.
Route B
Premises-specific fee
Most assessments and consultancy work depend on the building, use, size, evidence, access, sleeping risk and required output. J7 provides an honest starting point, range or fee band only after sufficient information is available.
Route C
Complex or portfolio scope
High-risk, unusual, multi-site and portfolio instructions require tailored scoping. Mobilisation, sites, programme, reporting, review arrangements and any specialist work are set out in a written proposal.
No surprise route changes
Indicative information is not a binding quotation. Before payment or booking, the client receives a written scope, exclusions, fee, VAT, deliverables and applicable payment terms. J7 does not use an automated price to make competence, life-safety or professional-scope decisions.

Answer a short set of non-personal scoping questions. Detailed client and premises information is collected only in the quotation request.

Payment on account and approved account terms
The quotation confirms the payment arrangement for the instruction before booking.
Payment on account
The accepted quotation states the payment required on account and the event when it must clear. The instruction is not eligible for booking or commencement until that requirement, or an approved written account route, is confirmed.
Approved account clients
Written account or portfolio terms may be agreed for approved clients. Credit is not assumed: the accepted quotation states the authority, limit, due event and terms applying to the client and instruction.
Clear before work starts
The quotation records the scope, fee, VAT treatment, mandatory cost, payment schedule, booking trigger and any balance condition before J7 commits the work.
Service appointments, remaining delivery obligations and final deliverables remain subject to the accepted quotation and J7 Fire Ltd’s current controlled Terms and Conditions.
Annual and portfolio management
One controlled programme across multiple premises
J7 can assess whether a controlled recurring programme is suitable while each building retains its own scope, history, actions and review decisions.

A scoped programme, not an automatic subscription
The responsible person retains their legal responsibilities. An enquiry records interest only. No annual service, capacity or fee is offered until J7 has approved the named premises, mobilisation, included allowance, review activity, reporting cadence, exclusions, additional-work route, payment schedule and delivery capacity in a written proposal.
